Angie Crotto

Angie has been interested in fitness all of her life with the goal of getting some kind of certification within the fitness industry. She first learned about Pilates in 1995. While observing changes in her aerobics teacher’s body, she noticed that aerobics had made the instructor’s body quite boxy, but after doing Pilates for some time her body began to look more elongated. Angie naturally has a more muscular shape and saw the benefits of this newfound exercise. At the time, the only Pilates studios were located in Seattle. Discouraged, she made the commute to train there anyway for a short time but found it to be too costly to continue training in Seattle. Fast forward about 8 years when she found The Pilates Bodies in Motion Studio. There she began to train 3 to 4 days a week and soon enrolled in Body Arts and Science International certification program. Through hard work and dedication she has lost nearly 2o inches off of her body and has realized the true benefits Pilates has to offer in all areas of her life: mind, body and spirit. She continues to teach the BASI Pilates method and remains working toward higher education. Angie is dedicated to excellence in her training, education, and performance and takes great pride in sharing the Pilates experience.

Rachel Reiswig

My passion for the Pilates and personal wellness developed over 20+ years in the world of dance, personal injury rehabilitation and maintenance, and my past career as a personal trainer. I am continually trying to understand and appreciate the intelligence and capabilities of the human body. My study of Pilates started while I was a student at the University of Utah in the Modern Dance Department and has continued on through my education at the National Personal Training Institute and Body Arts and Science International. I strive to help others find the benefits of strength, conditioning, and body awareness. As a Pilates instructor, I combine years of education and experience to reach clientele ranging from children to seniors, athletes to post physical therapy, and so on. Pilates will not only improve your physical being but also your mental, emotional, and spiritual self. It is a way of life that I personally hold dear and hope to introduce to others.

    Sheri

Sheri has a B.S. in Computer Science and Math from Elmhurst College in Illinois. She worked for a major manufacturer in sales and marketing for 15 years before leaving this career to raise her three boys. Sheri has always been passionate about exercise most of her life, playing volleyball, swimming, running, and biking in her teens and early adult years. Her passion for running unfortunately led to chronic back problems later on after having kids. When her chiropractor advised her to check into doing Pilates 6 years ago, Sheri began doing Pilates mat classes at a local YMCA. After moving to University Place, she learned about the Pilates Bodies in Motion studio where she began taking private one on one instruction, learning how to use the Pilates equipment. Sheri became intrigued by the various uses of the different Pilates equipment and how it could help her improve her core strength and reduce her back pain, so she continued on to become a certified BASI instructor, completing her certification in May 2010. She has been teaching here since January 2010 and has a passion for helping others who are dealing with back problems or just wanting to improve their overall fitness. Sheri has found Pilates to be a proactive way to help maintain the body's daily functioning capabilities as it ages. It has helped Sheri reduce her chronic back pain, as well as increase her energy level and reduce stress. Sheri knows that Pilates is the way to help live life to the fullest and it helps her keep up with her three very active boys.
